La dégradation du sol a une incidence non négligeable sur l'air et l'eau mais également sur notre santé. Conscient de la pression croissante exercée par l'homme sur les sols, le ministère en charge de l'Environnement a mis en place, depuis 1998, un programme de recherche sur la gestion du patrimoine sol (Gessol). Cet ouvrage synthétise les premiers résultats obtenus par les équipes ayant participé à ce programme. Il fournit ainsi de nouvelles connaissances sur les différents types de dégradation constatés : érosion, tassement, contamination, perte de matière organique et de biodiversité. Il propose également des méthodes alternatives de gestion des sols destinées à préserver durablement leurs fonctions environnementales. Ce texte s'adresse tant aux spécialistes du domaine qu'aux enseignants, décisionnaires et gestionnaires de la ressource en sols. En partenariat avec l'Ademe. |
