| Text of Note | L'ouvrage s'inscrit dans le champ de l'histoire de la linguistique. Il s'agit de l'étude, dans le long terme de la tradition grammaticale française, de la théorie des temps verbaux articulée en trois moments: celui de l'identification et de la construction des problèmes dans les premières descriptions du français du XVIe siècle jusqu'au milieu du XVIIIe siècle; celui de l'èlaboration des grands modèles théoriques du XVIIIe siècle, par division (Harris) et par repérage (Girard, Beauzée), et de leur réception critique jusqu'â Condillac; et celui enfin de leur transmission â la fin du XVIIIe siècle et au XIXe siècle (â travers le projet pédagogique des Idéologues et des Ecoles centrales, puis dans le contexte de la grammaire générale tardive), et de leur réinscription au XXe siècle chez Damourette et Pichon, Jespersen et Reichenbach. |
