| Text of Note | Une methodologie, et non un simple manuel d'exercices avec corriges : cet ouvrage aborde la dissertation etape apres etape, de l'analyse du sujet a la redaction du travail, en s'efforcant de fournir a l'etudiant les moyens de travailler par lui-meme sur un enonce, mais sans pretendre lui donner des recettes toutes faites. Il va plus loin : il interroge la notion meme de dissertation,a la fois historiquement et dans l'usage qui en est fait aujourd'hui en milieu scolaire. Il ne s'adresse donc pas uniquement aux etudiants en litterature, ou aux eleves du secondaire: il invite les enseignants eux-memes a reexaminer, voire a remettre en question certaines des normes auxquelles cet exercice est ordinairement soumis des normes souvent teintees d'ideologie ou de partis-pris esthetiques implicites. Enfin, il envisage "l'au-dela" de la dissertation : son rapport a l'essai critique, d'une part, qui lui permet de ne pas se limiter au role qu'on lui impartit traditionnellement dans l'enseignement; et d'autre part sa place dans des societes democratiques oءu le regard critique, l'analyse d'une question precise, l'organisation de la pensee, l'argumentation, mais aussi la prise en compte de la parole d'autrui et la qualite de l'expression, sont absolument essentiels a la discussion, a des debats qui ne se limiteraient pas a des echanges d'opinions. |
